Karmenta's Polish consultation hours start in November

For Polish women, getting gynecological care is often not so obvious. Karmenta also wants to empower Polish women by organizing a Polish consultation hour consisting of a Polish outpatient assistant and a Dutch gynaecologist (who also speaks Polish).

Specialist medical care for Polish patients
For Polish people in the Netherlands, getting care is not so obvious. The Dutch healthcare system is complicated and sometimes the general practitioner or medical specialist does not provide the care that Polish people are used to. Karmenta also wants to empower Polish people, by helping them with this, and starts a gynecology consultation, especially for Polish women. The patient is given an appointment with a Dutch gynaecologist and can undergo a gynecological examination in the treatment room. The doctor and the patient are assisted by a Polish outpatient assistant. From making the appointment up to and including the treatment, this can be done in Polish. Patients can also visit Karmenta without a referral from their GP, in which case the care must be paid for themselves.
Information evening for Polish patients
During the information evening on November 14, the Polish people will be explained in detail and questions will be answered. The Polish outpatient assistant will introduce herself and explain in Polish how the consultation hours work.

To make an appointment with Karmenta by telephone, the Polish outpatient assistant answers the phone on Wednesday afternoons (telephone number 073 – 7200 993, option 3). A referral from your GP is required for insured care, but you can also make an appointment without a referral, for example for an annual gynecological check-up.
