Liesanne Bouwma
Uro-Gynaecologist and Sexologist
Gynecologist Liesanne Bouwma (1966, Eindhoven) studied medicine at the VU in Amsterdam. After she completed her training as a gynaecologist (AMC, Amsterdam), she worked from 2005 to 2017 at the Jeroen Bosch Hospital in 's-Hertogenbosch, where she co-initiated the successful pelvic floor consultation hour, a multidisciplinary collaboration of gynaecologists, urologists, surgeons and pelvic floor physiotherapists. She specialized in prolapse surgery with the Da Vinci robot. She was also active in the field of Sexology and vulva pathology and was enthusiastically involved in the training of doctors and gynaecologists in training.
In the period 2016 - 2017, she noticed how beautiful and woman-friendly care can also be provided in ZBCs, when she gained experience at gynecological clinics Dermout & Albicher (Alkmaar) and Roosevelt Klinieken (Leiden). She worked at Fertility Clinic Nij Geertgen in 2017. From 2018, Dr. Bouwma enjoys working at the St. Anna Hospital in Geldrop, where she joined the Gynecology department in April 2019.
dr. Bouwma is married and has two sons. She lives in a pleasant village near 's-Hertogenbosch.
